The primary scientific mission of Bionomics International aims at:
- promoting international communication of biological information for scientific, technological, and sustainable development purposes.
- advancing methods for information and technology transfers among scientists and technologists internationally.
- developing databases for information and technology transfers among scientists and technologists internationally; and
- building networks for special interest groups (SIGs) based on scientific and technological subject matter.
All four aims have educational implications. Thus, effective execution includes educating the target groups of scientists and technicians on the availability and use of scientific resources developed by Bionomics International and collaborating international scientific organizations.
